Seminal Emission
Nocturnal emission is
mainly due to overcontemplation or excessive sexual activities which lead
to disharmony between the heart and kidney. If the heart fire fails to
descend and control the kidney water, the kidney water cannot ascend and
cool the heart fire. When water deficiency and fire excess disturb the
essence, nocturnal emission happens in dreams. Moreover, there are
dizziness, palpitation, listlessness, lassitude and scanty yellow urine,
red tongue, and thready, rapid pulse. Treatment is given by applying
acupuncture with reducing method to the points of the Heart Meridian of
Hand Shaoyin and with reinforcing method to the points of the Kidney
Meridian of Foot Shaoyin.

poor sleep and concentration, Heart Fire in the upper Jiao and Kidney

Explanation: HT7 and BL15 are needled to lower the heart fire and harmonize
the heart and kidney. KI3 is used to activate the kidney qi, and BL52 to
