Family: Gramineae (cereals).
A cereal that is generally known as corn. Together with wheat and
rice, it is one of the top three crops on a global basis. It is
grown for use as corn oil, popcorn, seed corn, sweet corn, animal
feed or raw material for the corn-starch and starch syrup
industries.
From the husks or ears hang many soft filaments called "the silk".
This is the part that has medicinal properties. It is out off before
the pollen drops from the flowers and dried quickly in the shade.

Dosage:1.5 – 4.5g.
Also Used For:
Orally, corn silk is used for cystitis, urethritis, nocturnal
enuresis, prostatitis, and acute chronic inflammation of the urinary
system.
