Folk medicine, apricot is used orally for hemorrhage, infertility,
eye inflammation, spasm, and vaginal infections.
Historically, laetrile, the semi-synthetic derivative of amygdalin
constituent, has been fraudulently acclaimed as a cancer treatment.
In manufacturing, apricot oil is used in cosmetics or as a vehicle
for pharmaceutical preparations.
