Names: Pseudobulbus Shancigu. Cremastra variabilis (Bl.) Nakai
(sometime Iphigeniae Indicae Kunth. et Benth, a toxic plant,
mistakenly identified as shan ci gu). Bulb of Chinese tulip,
cremastra
Indications: clears heat and fire toxicity. For boils, TB of the
lymph nodes, breast cancer, cancer of cervix uteri,( cervix, neck of
uterus, neck of womb), lung cancer, tumor of the lymph.
Can be use internally and externally
External use: make into paste and apply to affect parts.
Dosage: 3 to 6 g as decoctions. No limit for external use.
Toxicity: The ingredient colchicine is very toxic. Symptoms of
toxicity: frequent vomiting, intensive pain in the abdomen,
diarrhea, bleeding of the digestive tract, dehydration, acidosis,
shock, anxious, coma, lack of urine.
It might cause death in serious cases
Cautions: not to be used in deficient cases (weak).
