Cydonia oblongata, Mu Gua

Family: Rosaceae.

Properties:

  • relax sinews and muscles - dispel cold-Bi, calf cramps
  • harmonize stomach, reduce food stagnation

Dosage: 4.5 – 12g.

Also Used For:

Orally, Mu Gua/Quince is used for digestive disorders, diarrhea, coughs, and gastrointestinal inflammation.  

Topically, Mu Gua/Quince is used as a compress or poultice for injuries, inflammation of the joints, injuries of the nipples, and gashed or deeply cut fingers. A topical lotion is used to soothe the eyes
