Names: Amomum tsao-ko Crevost et Lem. Tsaoko Fruit Properties: The pungent and the warm properties have the warming and dispering actions. Its property is strong dessccative. It potent of dispelling dampenss and cold, and is therefore indicated for the syndromes of the damp-cold retention in the middle-jiao. Besides, it can also be used to clear phlegm, prevent attack of malaria and cure malaria with alternate attacks of chills and fever caused by the internal accumulation of phlegm-dampness. Effects

Dosage and Administration: 3-6g. Precautions: Contraindicted in syndrome of deficiency of both Qi and blood, and those without internal cold-dampness.
