Indications:
Stagnations of all kinds (qi,
blood, food, damp, etc.). Symptoms include focal distension,
stifling sensation in the chest and abdomen, fixed pain in the
hypochondria, belching, vomiting, acid regurgitation, mild
coughing with copious sputum, reduced appetite, poor digestion. T.
and P. depend on particular syndrome involved.
Warning: do not use this formula by
itself in cases of deficiency. It should be used together with
other warming formulae. In cases of liver stagnation with
deficiency, use xiao yao san with adjustments.
