Coix Decoction from Ming Yi Zhi Zhang

Function: relieve swelling in the exterior and moisten dry blood in the interior.  Tonifies blood, warms channels and relieves spasm

Composition: 

	Ma Huang	Herba Ephedra	6g
	Dang Gui	Rx Angelica Sinensis	9g
	Cang Zhu	Rh. Atractylodis	6g
	Yi Yi Ren	Semen Coicis	24g
	Gui Zhi	Ramulus Cinnamomi	6g
	Bai Shao Yao	Rx Paeoniae Albae	12g
	Mi Zhi Gan Cao	Rx Glycyrrhizae cum Melle Tosta	3g

Indications: Bi syndromes caused by accumulation of dampness with blood deficiency.  Key symptoms include painful and swollen joints, especially hands and feet, stiffness of the joings, limitation of joint movement, numbness, heaviness of the joints, heaviness of the body, coldness of the body.  General symptoms include preference for warmth and pressure, dizziness, tiredness, pale complexion.  T: pale with thin or thick white and greasy coat; P: thready and slippery.
