Indications:
LR - SP disharmony causing
deficiency, recurrent abdominal pain, borborygmus, painful
diarrhea (the pain comes with the urge to go to the bathroom and
subsides after the bowel movement). T: thin white coating (showing
the diarrhea is not because of excess Damp); P: wiry thin.
It is believed by most that the condition of SP
deficiency comes first, although the problem recurs during times
of LR Qi stagnation (due to stress or emotional/mental factors).
Analysis: Fang feng directs the herbs in LR and
SP and affects winds (borborygmus), thus its participation in the
control of diarrhea.

xiao yao san.
