Stagnation, Xue [Trauma]

Qi Li San

 

Seven-Tousandths of a Teal Powder
 (Musk and Catechu formula)

Function: Mobilizes blood.  Disperses blood stases.  Mobilizes qi.  Reduces swelling, bleeding and pain.  Favors healing.  Soothes anxiety, fear and confusion that can result from trauma

Composition: 

  Xue Jie Dracaena 30g
  Ru Xiang Boswellia 3-6g
  Hong Hua Carthamus 3-6g
  Mo Yao Commiphora 3-6g
  Er Cha Acacia 6-9g
  Zhu Sha Cinnabaris 3-5g
  She Xiang Moschus 0.5g
  Bing Pian Droybalanops 0.5g
  • Powder herbs and take in a 0.2-1.5g dosage internally.  For external use mix herbs with wine.

Indications:

Qi and blood stagnation from external or internal injury of all kinds causing pain and bleeding.

Caution:  Do not use during pregnancy or with hemophiliac patients..  Zhu sa is toxic and should only be used short-term
