Indications: Wind-Cold-Damp with interior heat. Symptoms include
joint and soft tissue pains (Wind-Cold Damp)
and symptoms indicating interior heat: tongue, lips, eyes, or pulse.
These are patients with Exterior Bi syndromes and Excess Heat
internally. Often Heat is lodged in the Large Intestines, Stomach
due to dietary habits or from Liver, Gall Bladder, stagnant Qi and
transformative Heat. It can also be seen in patients with Yin
deficient constitutions. The joints and soft tissues are
not
red, hot or particularly swollen. The patient bowels and urine may
show signs of Heat. There may be mouth sores and thirst.
