External wind

Internal wind

  • Xiao Feng San
  • Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao San

  • Zhen Gan Xi Feng Tang

External wind

  • Xiao Feng San – disperse Wind & stop itch, clear Heat & Damp
    Indications: oozing, itchy, red skin lesions over a large part of the body, yellow or white tongue coating, forceful, floating and rapid pulse.
  • Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao San – disperse Wind (cold or Heat) & relieve pain
    Indications: headache in any part of the head with fever and chills, dizziness, nasal congestion, thin white tongue coat with floating pulse.
  • Cang Er Zi San – expel Wind & relieve nasal congestion
    Indications: large amounts of pussy bad smelling nasal discharge, nasal obstruction, dizziness, frontal headache, normal or yellow tongue coat, floating rapid pulse.
  • Qian Zheng San – dispels Wind, transforms Phlegm, stops spasms, facial paralysis 
    Indications: sudden facial paralysis with deviation of the eyes and mouth with facial muscle spasming.
  • Xiao Huo Luo Dan – invigorates blood, unblocks Luo, dispel Damp, transforms Phlegm
    Indications: Chronic pain, weakness and numbness in lower limbs due to Wind stroke, fixed or migrating pain in the bones and joints with low range of motion due to Wind/Cold/Damp Bi, symptoms aggravated by cold, white moist tongue coat.

 

 

Internal wind

  • Ling Jiao Gou Teng Tang – cools Liver, extinguishes Wind, increases fluids, soothes sinews
    Indications: persistent high fever, irritable, restlessness, dizziness, twitching and spasms of the extremities, deep red dry tongye with prickles, wiry rapid pulse, possible loss of consciousness.
  • Zhen Gan Xi Feng Tang – anchors Liver Yang, stop Liver Wind
    Indications: dizziness, distension in the eyes , tinnitus, feverish sensation in head, headache, irritable, flushed face, wiry long forceful pulse, may be belching, progressive motor dysfunction of the body or development of facial asymmetry that occurs over a period of a few hours to a few days, severe dizziness, loss of consciousness, mental confusion.
  • Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin – clear Heat, eliminate Phlegm, soothe Liver, stop Wind, anchors Yang
    Indications: headache, dizziness, tinnitus, blurred vision, heat rising to the head, insomnia with many dreams, red tongue, wiry rapid pulse, if severe: numbness, spasming of the limbs, hemiplagia.
  • Da Ding Feng Zhu – nourishes Yin, extinguishes Wind
    Indications: weariness, muscle spasms with alternating flexion and extension of the extremities, weak/faint pulse, deep red tongue with scanty or peeled coat.
  • Di Huang Yin Zi – tonify Kidney Yin & Yang (marrow), opens orifices, eliminate Phlegm, internal Wind
    Indications: stiffness of the tongue with and inability to speak, paralysis of the lower limbs, dry mouth without thirst, greasy yellow tongue coat, deep slow thin frail pulse.
