SI1 (shaoze)

  • promotes lactation, swollen throat, eye screens
  • Location:  1 fen proximal to the ulnar side of the corner of the little finger.

SI3 (houxi)

  • protects Wei Qi, stiff neck/headache, night sweat, arm disorders
  • Location:  at the end of the crease on the ulnar side of the metacarpal bone when a fist is made.

SI6 (yanglao)

  • [Xi-cleft]
  • blurred vision, arm/neck problems
  • Location:  when the hand is placed on the chest, the point is found on the radial side of the high point of the head of the ulna.  

SI7(zhizheng)

  • [Connect to Heart]
  • mania/withdrawal, arm problems
  • Location :  5 cun above the wrist crease between the border of the ulna & the muscle belly of the flexor carpi ulnaris.

SI8 (xiaohai)

  • arm/neck/shoulder
  • Location:  in the dip between the ulnar olecranon & the medial epicondyle of the humerus.

SI10 (naoshu)

  • arm/neck weak/shoulder
  • Location:  straight above the posterior crease of the axilla, in the depression below the spine of the scapula.

SI11 (tianzong)

  • arm/neck/shoulder
  • Location:  one third of the distance from the midpoint of the inferior border of the scaular spine to the inferior angle of the scapula.

SI12 (bingfeng)

  • arm/neck/shoulder
  • Location:  above tianzong in the center of the suprascapular fossa (just above the spine), between T2 & the tip of the acromion.

SI14 (jianwaishu)

  • neck/shoulder/back
  • Location:  3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of T1 (DU13).

SI15 (jianzhongzhu)

  • neck/shoulder/back
  • Location:  2 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of C7 (DU14).

SI17 (tianrong)

  • deafness/tinnitus, Plum-Pit syndrome, sore throat
  • Location:  in the depression between the angle of the mandible & the anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.

SI18 (quanliao)

  • facial paralysis, twitching eyelids
  • Location:  directly below the outer canthus, in the depression at the lower border of the zygomatic bone.

SI19 (tinggong)

  • [meeting point of Small Intestine Gallbladder San Jiao]
  • opens ear portals
  • Location:  with mouth open, in the depression between the middle of the tragus & the condyloid process of the mandible.
